These Terms apply to your use of our website and purchasing of products. By proceeding with a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.


Introduction

Sun Republic is a small, independent Australian business. We are committed to ethical, sustainable, and high-quality craftsmanship. These Terms ensure transparency, protect our business and customers, and comply with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


Eligibility & Website Use

By using this website, you agree to comply with all applicable laws. You must be of legal age to purchase products.
You may not use our products for unlawful purposes. Any breach may result in termination of services or account access.


Product Information & Availability

Many of our products are handcrafted and made-to-order. Variations in size, colour, grain, and texture are natural characteristics and not considered faults.
We aim to provide accurate descriptions, dimensions, and images, but minor differences may occur due to the nature of natural materials and artisanal production.


Orders & Payment

Full payment is required to secure your order, including applicable shipping fees and taxes. Prices are in AUD and may change without notice.

Furniture & Custom Orders:
Pre-orders, made-to-order, and custom furniture are final sale and cannot be cancelled once placed. Lead times are estimates only:

  • Pre-order: 8–12 weeks
  • Made-to-order: 20–24 weeks

Delays may occur due to global freight, production logistics, or unforeseen circumstances.


Shipping & Delivery

Shipping costs are separate from product prices and paid directly to trusted third-party carriers. Charges are non-refundable once paid.

Delivery Options:

Standard Delivery: Delivered to your front door or ground level. Customers may need to assist for heavy items. Extra fees apply for stairs, lifts, or restricted access.

White Glove Delivery: Premium service including in-home placement, unpacking, assembly (if required), and removal of all packaging.

Oversized Items: Items over 50kg or with difficult access may require customer assistance. Please notify us in advance to arrange appropriate delivery.

We provide tracking information for all orders. Once dispatched, delivery is managed by the carrier. Ensure someone is available to receive your order.


Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

We are a small business, and many items are pre-ordered, custom, or made-to-order. Once production begins, these items are final sale and cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded.

Order Cancellations:
In exceptional circumstances, a cancellation may be approved with a 20% fee to cover processing and handling.

Faulty Items:
If you receive a product with a confirmed manufacturing fault, contact us immediately with photos and your order number. We may request the item be returned for assessment. If a fault is confirmed, we will provide a replacement, store credit, or refund.

Damaged in Transit:
Check your items immediately upon delivery. Any damage must be reported within 24 hours with photos. We will coordinate with the carrier to resolve the issue.

Change-of-Mind Returns:
Generally, we do not accept returns for change-of-mind. Requests will be considered case-by-case. Approved returns must be unused, in original packaging, and returned at the customer’s expense. A 20% restocking fee applies.


Warranty

Warranty periods vary by product and are outlined on the website:

  • Indoor furniture: 1 year (residential use only)
  • Outdoor furniture: 3 years (residential use only, excluding outdoor fabrics)

Warranty does not cover misuse, environmental damage, or natural wear and tear. Eligible defects may be repaired, replaced, or credited, excluding freight costs.


Intellectual Property

All content on the Sun Republic website, including images, text, and logos, is owned by Sun Republic. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission.


Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for damages arising from the use of our website, third-party services, or shipping delays beyond our control.


Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sydney, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sydney.


Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any updates.
