Warranty Policy

At Sun Republic, we take pride in offering high-quality furniture crafted with care and expertise. Our warranty applies to products made and purchased in Australia and is subject to the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (“Australian Consumer Law”).

Warranty Coverage

The warranty period begins from the date of purchase and covers:

  • Indoor Furniture (Residential Use Only): 1 year
  • Outdoor Furniture (Residential Use Only): 3 years
    • Includes synthetic weave, framework, and welds
    • Excludes outdoor fabrics

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Misuse, improper maintenance, or damage caused by environmental factors, including:
    • Exposure to extreme conditions or prolonged direct sunlight (for indoor furniture)
    • Scratches, burns, exposure to heaters or highly air-conditioned spaces
    • Dragging, standing on furniture, or using inappropriate cleaning products
  • Any repairs or modifications made by unauthorized service providers
  • Use in an abnormal or unintended manner, including:
    • Dropping, crushing, exposure to extreme heat (including fire) or cold
    • Electrical issues resulting from incorrect supply or usage with inappropriate accessories
  • Any tampering or structural modifications

Natural Material Disclaimer

Solid timber is a natural material that responds to environmental changes. Natural characteristics such as movement, cracking, joint separation, bowing, splitting, and colour variations are not covered under this warranty. These are inherent features of timber and contribute to the unique beauty of each piece. Additionally, timber finishes are subject to daily wear and tear and are not warranted.

Exclusions for Specific Products

Sun Republic does not provide warranties of any kind on specific collections made in Indonesia, India and Africa, including:

These products are handcrafted from natural materials, which will naturally evolve over time as they adapt to their environment. Variations and unique imperfections are inherent characteristics of these materials, adding to their distinct beauty. To ensure their longevity, quality, and strength, we strongly recommend following the appropriate care guidelines.

General Terms

  • The warranty is not transferable and does not apply to commercial use unless specified.
  • The warranty excludes freight costs associated with the return, replacement, or re-supply of faulty goods.
  • Warranty claims apply only to products with a manufacturing or material defect, not resulting from normal wear and tear or the natural characteristics of materials.
  • Products sold as seconds, floor stock, ex-display, clearance, or sale items are not covered under this warranty.
