Terms of Service
By accessing and purchasing from Sun Republic, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please review them carefully before proceeding with your order.
1. General Use
- Your use of this website must comply with all laws and must not be unlawful, defamatory, or inappropriate.
- We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.
2. Product Availability & Descriptions
- Many of our products are handcrafted and made-to-order, resulting in natural variations in size, colour, and texture. These are not faults but a reflection of artisan craftsmanship.
- Timber and natural materials may age and change over time—this is a normal characteristic and not covered under warranty.
3. Orders & Payment
- Full payment is required to secure your order, including applicable shipping fees and taxes.
- Prices are in AUD and are subject to change without notice.
Furniture & Custom Orders
- Pre-orders and made-to-order furniture are final sale and cannot be cancelled or refunded once placed.
- Lead times for pre-orders: 10-12 weeks | Custom-made: 16-18 weeks. Delays beyond our control may occur.
- By placing a custom furniture order, you acknowledge and accept production times, natural variations, and our no-cancellation policy.
4. Shipping & Delivery
- Shipping costs are separate from product prices and paid directly to third-party freight providers. These fees are non-refundable once paid.
- Furniture & oversized items require a separate shipping invoice after checkout (unless quoted prior to purchase).
Delivery Options
- Standard Delivery: Delivered to your front door/curbside only. Assistance may be required. If stairs, lifts, or restricted access applies, extra fees will incur.
- White Glove Delivery: Includes in-home placement, assembly, and packaging removal (available upon request).
Important Delivery Notes
- Some furniture may arrive on a pallet for protection—please arrange help for unpacking and moving.
- Ensure your item fits through doorways, stairwells, lifts, or corridors before purchasing. Refunds or exchanges are not accepted if an item does not fit.
- Concrete furniture is shipped in wooden crates—you are responsible for uncrating and moving your item upon delivery,unless white glove service has been booked and paid for.
Estimated Delivery Timeframes
- Metro Areas: 3-7 business days after dispatch
- Rural & Regional Areas: 9-15 business days after dispatch
- Pre-Orders: 10-12 weeks | Custom Orders: 16-18 weeks
Delays may occur due to shipping logistics beyond our control.
5. Returns & Cancellations
Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for:
- Furniture, pre-orders, made-to-order & custom pieces
- Sale/clearance items & floor stock
- One-of-a-kind artisan pieces
- Candles, dried flowers, bed linens, and personal care products
Faulty or Damaged Items
- Inspect items upon delivery and report any damages within 24 hours to hello@sunrepublic.com.au with photos.
- If deemed faulty, we will offer a repair, replacement, or store credit (refunds are only applicable if a replacement is unavailable).
Returns (Non-Commercial Customers Only)
- Eligible for return within 7 days of delivery (excluding custom, made-to-order, or sale items).
- Item must be in original packaging and unused.
- A 20% restocking fee applies, and shipping fees are non-refundable.
6. Warranty & Product Care
- 1-year warranty: Indoor furniture (residential use only)
- 3-year warranty: Outdoor furniture (excluding fabrics)
- Warranty does not cover misuse, natural material changes, or wear and tear.
- Products made in Indonesia & India (e.g., Desa Collection, Lokoa Chairs, Pantai Concrete Collection) are not covered under warranty.
Handmade & Natural Materials Disclaimer
- Many of our items are handcrafted, meaning variations in colour, finish, timber grain, and texture are expected. These are not considered faults.
- Timber may expand, contract, or develop cracks over time—this is a natural characteristic, not a defect.
7. Intellectual Property & Liability
- All website content is owned by Sun Republic and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
- We are not liable for damages arising from website use, order delays, or third-party services.
8. Governing Law & Contact Information
These terms are governed by the laws of Sydney, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in Sydney courts.
